Kitsap County

  • Herbicide applications are anticipated to take place during the months of July and August at three locations in Kitsap County.

  • There are no proposed aerial applications in Kitsap County.

  • Maps of the proposed herbicide application sites can be found here.

  • Specific information about the herbicides that will be used for each location can be found here.

  • From time to time, we apply herbicides along roadsides to control invasive species as well as to maintain visibility so that our employees and contractors can safely traverse our road system. This year there are no plans for roadside herbicide applications in Kitsap County.

  • Posted notices are required for aerial applications in forestry operations at a significant point of regular access.

  • Pope Resources voluntarily provides written notification to all landowners within 1,000 feet of aerial applications.

  • For our operations in Kitsap County, Pope Resources will also voluntarily provide written notification to residents adjacent to our ground based applications.

Jefferson County

  • Herbicide applications will take place during the months of July, August, and September at several locations in Jefferson County.

  • Applications will be made by both aerial and ground-based methods, depending on site conditions.

  • From time to time, we apply herbicides along roadsides to control invasive species as well as to maintain visibility so that our employees and contractors can safely traverse our road system. Areas where herbicides may be applied on roadsides can be found here.
